Wedding Inspirations: A Colorado Mountain Wedding with a Contemporary Twist
As guests gazed at the splendor of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, they couldn’t help but notice a vibrant pathway of over 300 fuschia pink rose petals making a striking statement against the warm natural tones of the scenic mountains. This splendid surprise was the intention of the bride whom wanted to create a unique wedding that her guests would remember forever.
Set at Colorado’s 10 Mile Breckenridge Station, the traditional, warm and natural tones of the venue site were shattered as a vibrant color palette was chosen by the bride to leave its mark in the minds of the guests. Bright fuschia pinks, deep aubergines, icy blues, vibrant tangerines and vivid lime greens spoke to the contemporary styles of the bride while creating an eye-catching contrast against the muted surrounding scene.
The ceremony, set outside, boasted a vibrant bridal aisle of fuschia pink rose petals and a pink pavied cart created for escorting the young ring bearer to the altar. Beautifully bright floral arrangements accented with rows of romantic battery operated candles were housed within modern clear plexi containers creating a distinctly contemporary presentation as the bride and groom said their vows.
Moving to the reception, guests walked through a series of towering arches created with vibrant florals artistically intertwined with natural birch, softly lit with romantic hanging candles. These arches served a dual purpose as they bloomed from modern cabaret tables giving guests a delightful setting to place a drink or appetizer. As guests continued into the reception space, they were greeted with towering metal tree structures, each blooming with bright toned florals and dramatic drops of floral pomanders. These trees captured the essence of the surrounding Colorado scene, while appeasing the bride’s modern tastes.
Contemporary seating arrangements including long rectangle brushed aluminum tables glowing pink across the top, chic white leather convertible sofas set around hip white alligator tables, and icy blue linens gave guests a versatile, inviting and trendy setting as they easily meandered throughout the reception portion of the event. Equally diverse stylized floral arrangements added additional splashes of color as they were appropriately set throughout the assortment of guest tables.
Finally, guests also had the opportunity to breathe in the fresh night air as lounge areas of classically modern white furniture pieces were set around crisp white fire pits. Animal pelt rugs set beneath each lounge area aided in defining the lounge, while complementing the surrounding mountainous landscape. As the wedding winded down and guests retreated back home, the beautifully vibrant scenes of the evening remained engrained in their minds, just as the bride had hoped.
