DW Employee Spotlight: The Man Who Works With His Hands

We at DW love to show you the end result of an event as if we just snapped our fingers, and our hopes and dreams of that event came to life without breaking a sweat.  The great Wizard of Oz once said “Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.”  Well not anymore Mr. Oz!  We are opening the curtains, breaking every magician’s code, and showing you just how we work our magic at DesignWorks.  With monthly spotlights on our departments and the personalities that make them so unique, you will see the enthusiasm and dedication towards every project, every design, and every ounce of passion that is poured into DW events that make them come to life.

Shawn Robinson

This month we are shining the spotlight on Shawn Robinson, the brains (and brawn) behind our Wood and Metal Shop.  He is the man with a plan and vision to create something beautiful while making the project cost effective, lightweight, versatile, and one-of-a-kind.

Shawn Robinson

Shawn has a passion for working with his hands as you can see in the events we post, however, when he is not busy at DW (which is very rare!), we can find him vacationing in his RV, riding on his ATV, jet skiing, and scuba diving.  Originally from a south suburb in Chicago, the mild Colorado weather, mountains, and taste for adventure drew Shawn to the great city of Denver.

Check out some of his favorite projects he has created throughout the years!

Happy designing DW fans!
