A Wedding Blooming with Beauty
Today we are so excited to share a DW favorite with you, our fans! If the fact that it is Friday isn’t exciting enough, we are kicking it up a notch by sharing a wedding we designed for a beautiful couple, with an even more beautiful love for each other. Since we believe pictures speak a thousand words, we will give you a few highlights of the breathtaking day and you can fill in the blanks with “Oooo’s” and “Ahhhh’s” at your discretion!
The bride’s revealing was highlighted by double doors opening, causing sheer draping to billow in the wind, creating a movie worthy moment entrance. Gasps were heard around the room leaving not a dry eye in sight. She walked down a custom aisle runner printed with the couple’s newly celebrated monogram. Arches dripping with smilax, roses, hydrangea, and spirea lined the aisle with romance. She met her groom under a gazebo of cherry blossoms, roses and hydrangea inspiring a story book space for the couple to wed. Softly illuminating their nuptials was an ornate crystal chandelier centering the gazebo.
Cocktail hour was held on the patio of Albert’s Lodge with soft florals complementing of the ceremony’s ambiance.
As guests entered the reception space they were greeted by a fun and colorful dessert station filled with festive candies and cupcakes. The wedding was held the day before Easter and the family wanted guests to take home spring inspired treats for the holiday.
One of the main topics of conversation as guests were taking in the beauty of the reception was the 4-ft, 7-tier wedding cake styled on a sparkling table placed on a stage adorned in soft florals! Janusz of Elegant Bakery concocted this breathtaking and intricate art piece. Fun fact: It tasted just as amazing as it looked!
Throughout the evening, guests discovered the variety of eclectic details that were styled in the Ponderosa Room. Several table designs filled with medleys of cherry blossoms, roses, hydrangea, dusty miller, baby’s breath, agapanthus, hyacinth, and tulips created a soft and sweet scent throughout the space while crystal chandeliers floated above tables adding elegance to all angles of the room. Vintage elements of mercury accents, crystals, silk and lace graced the room with sophistication and style. Sky high textural floral panels complemented the soft draping achieving an intimate ambiance in a large space.
Okay, we lied, although a photo speaks a thousand words, we couldn’t help but gush about one of our favorite weddings to our favorite fans!
Happy designing DW fans!
